Incense has been used for many centuries and by many cultures for its aromatic, spiritual and healing qualities. Today, this product is still used in a variety of environments and for many different purposes. Keep in mind that an incense burner can become quite hot, so never set your burner directly on wood or other flammable surfaces. The best choice for holding your burner is a ceramic tile or an ashtray that is designed to take the heat. Do not burn incense in or underneath a cupboard, and keep away from pets and children at all times. Light the incense with a match or lighter, and hold the flame at the stick for ten seconds. The flame should put itself out within a few seconds or so, leaving the incense to smolder and burn down to ashes as it releases its aromatic flavor throughout the room.
